Beecoming The Bride

Hi, I’m Bee — a real bride-to-be on a real mission to walk down the aisle feeling like the most confident, glowing version of myself.

October Faves: Bride to Be Edition

The skincare, workouts and wellness habits that got me through another month of bridal prep.

Good to know: my routine was recommended by an accredited dermatologist for my acne-prone skin, which is why you’ll see gentle, low-strength ingredients here. Everyone’s skin is different, so check with your own dermatologist before changing your routine.

October is over, and the wedding is getting closer. This month I’ve leaned on a handful of products and habits that made prep feel easier and a bit more fun.

So here are my October faves, bride to be edition: skin, fitness and wellness.

Skin Favourites

Sheet masks are my favourite low-effort way to feel like I’m doing something for my skin. I use one in the evening, mostly on nights when I’m too tired to do more than cleanse. The Mary & May sheet masks are what my Dermatologist recommended- they are hydrating and refreshing.

Serum is a daily step for me. It helps with redness, pores and oil control, and it’s gentle enough to use consistently. I was recommended the Mary&May Copper Peptide Serum.

SPF is a non-negotiable, even in autumn. I usually breakout from suncreams due to their heaviness and also they can block your pores. Hence this lightweight Korean one was recommended to me: haruharu wonder Black Rice Pure Mineral Relief Daily Sunscreen SPF50+ 50 mL

Fit Faves

Morning workouts have been my biggest win this month. Getting it done before the day takes over means I don’t have to negotiate with myself at 6pm. I have invested in a Weighted Vest for my morning walks.

The plan I’m following is my 1 Month Wedding Shred structure: strength, conditioning, Pilates and proper rest days. I swap sessions around depending on how I feel.

What I use at home:

  • Wrist Weights for lower body and arms.
  • Dumbells for Pilates and light armwork.
  • Creatine gummies there is so much evidence to show the overall improvement to women’s health and brain function so I would highly recommend these. I take a powder with my yoghurt but have also started the gummies now to increase my overall intake (gradually!!).
  • Barebells Protein bar for when I want something sweet that still gives me protein. Some flavours have 20grams of protein!!!

Wellness Faves

Wedding planning is a lot, so these small habits matter more than any product.

  • Phone on Do Not Disturb by 8pm. It’s a simple boundary that makes a big difference to how I wind down.
  • Magnesium in the evening. I take magnesium glycinate to support sleep and stress. Check with your doctor before starting any new supplement.
  • L’Oréal Professionnel Metal Detox Shampoo, for Damaged Hair. If you live in a city with hard water and have frizzy hair, I would highly recommend this as normal shampoos don’t work on my hair type.
  • One evening a week that’s just mine. Bath, candle, a film, no wedding chat.
  • Real meals I look forward to. Chiptotle chicken bowls and salmon with roasted broccoli and avocado have been on repeat. I also have tried the Skinny Pasta and it can make you feel like you are eating pasta, but I personally prefer cauliflower rice. Since I have PCOS, I do tend to eat a low carb dinner at night.
