One month out from your wedding and wondering if there’s still time to feel your absolute best? The answer is yes β€” but only if you start today.

This is the exact workout plan I created for my final month of bridal prep. Four weeks, four focus areas, one goal: to walk down that aisle feeling stronger, leaner and more confident than ever before.

No crash diets. No punishing two-a-days. Just smart, structured training that actually fits into a busy bride’s life.

Let’s go. 🐝

What This Plan Is Built On

The 1 Month Wedding Shred is structured around four training types that work together:

πŸ’ͺ Strength β€” Build lean muscle and boost your metabolism. We focus on upper and lower body separately so you can train hard without burning out.

πŸ”₯ Condition β€” HIIT sessions to improve endurance and burn fat efficiently in a short amount of time.

✨ Sculpt β€” Full body and Pilates sessions to tone, define and lengthen. This is what gives you that bridal glow from the inside out.

🀍 Recover β€” Mobility, stretching and rest. Non-negotiable. Your body transforms during recovery, not just during training.

What You’ll Need

You don’t need a gym for this plan. Here’s what I use at home:

The 4 Week Plan

πŸ“… Week 1 β€” Foundation: Build the Habit

This week is about showing up, not burning out. Establish the routine before you increase the intensity.

DaySessionDuration
MondayStrength β€” Upper Body45 min
TuesdayStrength β€” Lower Body45 min
WednesdayConditioning β€” HIIT30 min
ThursdaySculpt β€” Full Body45 min
FridaySteady State Cardio30–40 min
SaturdayPilates β€” Core + Mobility30 min
SundayRest β€” Stretch or Walk20–30 min

Focus this week: Don’t skip Sunday. Rest and mobility are where the magic happens. A gentle walk or 20 minute stretch session keeps your body recovering properly.

πŸ“… Week 2 β€” Build: Push a Little Harder

You’ve got the habit. Now we build on it. Increase your weights slightly and push the HIIT intervals harder.

DaySessionDuration
MondayStrength β€” Upper Body45 min
TuesdayStrength β€” Lower Body45 min
WednesdayHIIT β€” Intervals30 min
ThursdaySculpt β€” Full Body Strength45 min
FridaySteady State Cardio35–45 min
SaturdayPilates β€” Core + Mobility30 min
SundayRest β€” Stretch or Walk20–30 min

Focus this week: Progressive overload β€” lift weights 3–4x per week and aim to go slightly heavier than last week. Your body adapts fast.

πŸ“… Week 3 β€” Challenge: Level Up Your Intensity

Three weeks out from the wedding. This is your hardest week β€” and your most rewarding one.

DaySessionDuration
MondayStrength β€” Upper Body45–50 min
TuesdayStrength β€” Lower Body45–50 min
WednesdayHIIT β€” High Intensity30–35 min
ThursdaySculpt β€” Full Body Strength45–50 min
FridaySteady State Cardio40–50 min
SaturdayPilates β€” Core + Mobility30 min
SundayRest β€” Stretch or Walk20–30 min

Focus this week: Eat high protein, whole foods to support muscle recovery and reduce bloating. Think eggs, chicken, salmon, Greek yogurt, legumes.

πŸ“… Week 4 β€” Shred: Bring It All Together

Final week. This is where it all comes together β€” but we also start protecting your body for the big day. Pull back slightly on intensity from day 5 onwards.

DaySessionDuration
MondayStrength β€” Upper Body45–50 min
TuesdayStrength β€” Lower Body45–50 min
WednesdayHIIT β€” Finish Strong30–35 min
ThursdaySculpt β€” Full Body45–50 min
FridaySteady State Cardio40–50 min
SaturdayPilates β€” Core + Mobility30 min
SundayRest β€” You did it!🀍

Focus this week: No intense training from 5 days before the wedding. A gentle walk or yoga session the morning of is perfect. You’ve done the work β€” now let your body shine.

Focus Areas & Tips for Success

πŸ’ͺ Focus Areas

  • Lift weights 3–4x per week for lean muscle and metabolism boost
  • Eat high protein, whole foods throughout the month
  • Stay consistent β€” even on low motivation days, show up

βœ… Tips for Success

  • Plan your workouts at the start of each week like appointments
  • Progressive overload β€” increase weights or reps slightly each week
  • Keep moving on rest days β€” a walk counts, always
  • Listen to your body β€” soreness is normal, pain is not
  • Stay consistent β€” you don’t need motivation every day, you need discipline and a why
  • Trust the process β€” four weeks is enough time to feel a real difference

What to Eat This Month

You don’t need a strict diet alongside this plan β€” but these simple swaps make a real difference:

Prioritise:

  • Protein at every meal (eggs, chicken, Greek yogurt, salmon, lentils)
  • Plenty of water β€” aim for 2–3 litres daily
  • Whole foods over processed where you can
  • A good protein powder πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ / πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ for post-workout recovery

Reduce in the final week:

  • Sodium (causes water retention)
  • Alcohol
  • Fizzy drinks and anything that causes bloating
  • Cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage) close to the day

The Mindset Piece

Here’s what I want you to remember throughout this month:

You don’t need to be a different person by your wedding day. You just need to be the best, most energised, most confident version of the person you already are.

Some days you’ll smash the workout. Some days you’ll do 20 minutes and call it a win. Both count. What matters is that you keep showing up β€” for yourself, not for anyone else.

One month. One goal. Your best day. 🐝
